Strategy and Funding Design

I help organizations design funding approaches that support long-term growth, not short-term survival.

  • Develop multi-year funding models that align programs with sustainable revenue

  • Conduct grant readiness assessments to strengthen outcomes, data, program definition, and narrative consistency

  • Design funding diversification strategies across government, foundation, corporate, and earned revenue

  • Build corporate partnership strategies that position programs as talent pipelines through sponsored cohorts and employer-aligned training

Opportunity Identification and Positioning

I identify where funding opportunities exist and ensure your programs are positioned to compete for them.

  • Clarify funding priorities based on your programs, goals, and internal capacity

  • Develop targeted prospect lists aligned with high-fit funders

  • Identify missed funding opportunities and gaps in current approach

  • Strengthen program positioning so it aligns with workforce outcomes, economic mobility, and funder priorities

Grants Management Systems

I build internal systems that make grant development more efficient and sustainable over time.

  • Design or refine grant workflows, roles, and internal processes

  • Develop templates, standard language, and tools to streamline future submissions

  • Build structured grant calendars and submission pipelines

  • Move organizations from reactive applications to intentional, consistent grant strategy

Proposal Development and Submission

I manage or support the full grant development process, from concept through submission.

  • Develop and refine proposal narratives, budgets, and supporting materials

  • Create reusable core language, including boilerplate, case statements, and logic models

  • Tailor each proposal to align with funder priorities and guidelines

  • Coordinate attachments, internal input, and approvals to meet deadlines

  • Edit and strengthen drafts prepared by internal teams

Program and Funding Alignment

I ensure programs are framed in ways that expand funding opportunities and competitiveness.

  • Map programs to multiple funding categories to broaden eligibility

  • Refine program descriptions to clearly define target population, outcomes, and value

  • Align program language with workforce development, economic mobility, and funder expectations

  • Position programs so they are not limited by overly narrow framing

Funder Cultivation

I support ongoing relationship-building to strengthen long-term funding prospects.

  • Map current and potential funder relationships

  • Plan intentional outreach and engagement between funding cycles

  • Draft updates, communications, and materials to maintain funder connection

Reporting and Evaluation

I translate program data into clear, fundable outcomes and compelling reports.

  • Develop outcome frameworks with measurable indicators

  • Align evaluation language with funder expectations

  • Prepare grant reports and impact summaries

  • Support learning and refinement to strengthen future proposals

What Sets My Work Apart

  • Deep program evaluation expertise that translates programs into fundable outcomes

  • Human-centered, tailored writing that elevates impact through localized storytelling

  • Strategic, ethical use of AI to improve efficiency without compromising quality

  • A deliberate focus on increasing competitiveness in a crowded funding landscape

Case example: Multi-year funding model developed for a new workforce program

  • Designed a multi-year funding and sustainability model for a new program.
I built a three-phase funding framework (launch, early scale, sustainable model) for a proposed workforce program, shifting it from “grant-funded pilot” to a revenue-generating program with a clear path to self-funding over time.

  • Clarified assumptions, assets, and market realities.
I documented internal interest, existing assets (university and industry connections), and constraints (regional job market, current underfunding of other programs) so leadership could make informed choices about timing and scope.

  • Mapped a diversified revenue mix by phase.
I specified target percentages for philanthropy, corporate sponsorships, and earned revenue at each stage and translated them into concrete earned-income ideas, such as school district contracts, sponsored cohorts, fee-based programs, and summer intensives.

  • Outlined a right-sized staffing plan tied to growth.
I recommended a phased staffing model (from part-time, grant-funded management and contractors to a fully revenue-supported team) aligned with anticipated funding and enrollment growth.

  • Identified priority corporate and regional partners.
I researched and recommended specific North Bay and adjacent companies and entities (advanced manufacturing, health tech, utilities, construction, tech, and economic development) and articulated a clear value proposition for sponsored cohorts and partnerships.

  • Built a federal and private funder “anchor stack.”
I assembled a short list of high-potential federal programs (FAA, DOL, EDA, EIR, NSF) and private funders (aviation/STEM, tech, corporate workforce philanthropy), then distilled them into a recommended Phase I funding stack for the first 12–18 months.

  • Connected grant strategy to program design and sustainability.
Throughout the brief, I framed grants as launch and expansion capital, not ongoing operating support, and tied every funding recommendation back to the program’s long-term viability and LIME’s broader portfolio.
