I bring more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit consulting, program evaluation, research, and grant development. Before founding Cristina Larsen Consulting, I spent ten years as a program evaluator and grant writer at the California State University, Sacramento Institute for Social Research.

That background continues to shape the way I approach grant development today.

Strong proposals require more than persuasive writing. They require a clear understanding of the problem being addressed, a well-designed program, meaningful outcomes, credible evidence, and a compelling explanation of why an organization is positioned to deliver results.

My work combines that analytical foundation with extensive hands-on grant development experience.

Today, I work with nonprofit organizations across a range of sectors, including education, workforce development, health and human services, youth development, housing, food security, conservation and environmental programs, and other community-based services.

I serve as a dedicated funding partner to a select group of nonprofits, which allows me to develop a deep understanding of each organization and provide highly tailored, responsive support.

My goal is not simply to help clients submit more grants. It is to help them pursue the right opportunities, compete more effectively, and build stronger funding portfolios over time.
